Many use super glue to keep plastic lures up on the hook. Tried it, didn't like it for different reasons and came up with a method that keeps lures
reusable longer.
All you need is coated wire bough in any craft store or dept., needle nose plier, wire cutters or nail clippers.

Line up the cut wire so the end almost reaches the curve of the hook:

While holding it with two fingers, bend the wire around the line tie shaft once:

Snip off one end close to the shaft and bend the remaining wire into the shape of an L:

After rigging the lure - ANY LURE - push the grub holder wire into the side:

It works with any lure and size jighead. Note: I order unpainted, no-collar jigheads in different weight and hook sizes:

All my jigs use the wire plastic grip and it
never deters fish from striking. Been using it over 10 years and many fish caught.
