Hi y'all,
This is my first post to LAFF! I'm a transplanted Kentucky guy now living in Colorado, and I'm headed down to LA to take my Dad out for some guided fishing. Which of the lakes close to Shreveport would you recommend for the best fishing towards the end of this month, Caddo or Bistineau? I found some info on Caddo conditions at Texas Parks & Wildlife but can't seem to find current conditions at Bistineau.

Is Toledo Bend worth the extra drive for a single day of fishing?

Caddo has been on fire lately with Tons of good fish being caught. Bistineau is back to full pond(was drained way down til earlier this year to kill salvania and work on the spillway) and I haven't heard much out there yet but people keep quiet about that lake. Toledo is always a good lake and with the full moon this weekend never know what could happen.

We are getting a LOT of rain in the area today thru tomorrow so might muddy it up some but still should be biting. For Caddo/Bistineau I'd look up Mike Pharr and Paul Keith on Facebook and if they can't take you they'll know who can. Toledo I've heard good things about Darold Gleason.

Don't check this site as much as TFF sorry I didn't see it earlier!

If Toledo Bend is an option, as stated above, give Darold Gleason a call...anytime on Toledo Bend that time of the year you with a good guide you have potential to catch the fish of a lifetime.
