If you don't damage the digestive track and learn how to keep the hair out when processing it's some of the best meat out there. Processing is critical.
Now if it's a 300+ pound rutting boar I'll have to agree with you.
I used to trap them and I've cleaned up to 200 lbs sows that were excellent!....I do prefer them about 150 to 100 lbs for ease of handling.
I basically keep the back strap and tender loin, then grind everything else for hamburger and sausage.

Now that looks more like our feeders last year after the flood .

But back to the question , have you ever cooked one of those things ?
The feral hogs I agree , ain't nothing better .

We start shooting them Oct 1st.
I have seen quite a few in the last couple days .

Actually I think those are European Boar.

Nope, I have never eaten Picary (skunk pig). I've heard too many people say it taste as bad as it smells.
I worked with a guy from down south that said his grandfather new how to make it taste good, but died and never told anyone.

They are supposed to be the true taste of pork rather than what you buy now.

I don't think it actually meets the BS Texas 13" rule.
13" being defined as "horns being outside the ears"

Does anyone else notice that the tag on this deer is not displayed clearly?
I can't seem to locate it.
