My (retired USAF) brother and I are going to Flag Lake which is located on Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City. Does anyone have any information on it?

On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Sorry for the late reply. Don't get on here as much as TFF. By now you have prob figured it all out but will run over some basics.

On base you will need another license. It costs $15
The lake has been drawn down due to an attempt to get rid of the salvania and hyacinths that have made the lake unfishable. I don't know the estimated date for letting it fill back up but its been prob a month since they took the boards out by the dam.
The fishing IS GREAT out there if you do get a chance to go!! Max depth of 7' and mostly between 2-4'. All tress and a few duck blinds. Easy enough to fish most of the lake in a day and its full of crappie/bass/grinnel/catfish. I wouldn't advise running anywhere on the lake but you can idle anywhere quickly enough or just troll.

Good luck!
