OK folks, I try not to do a lot of internet scouting, but I made a few trips down to Big lake in the summer and fall last year and was able to find fish here and there. Now that hunting season is pretty much complete, I am ready to get after the fish again. I am looking for some advice on how to find the fish in this cooler time period. Any help will be appreciated. Looking for info on trout and reds for the most part

Until about April or May I focus on finding bait over shallow mud flats. The water is a little cooler and that shallower mud warms up quicker during the day. Finding mullet is also key. Id try the south bank of west cove for a start.

Zach, thanks for the input. I have launched there a few times but haven't really tried along the south bank. the couple times I tried it was pretty windy. Thanks again
