I'll have to read the blog, but it's gonna be hard to beat my home made SPAM stew.

Why would you want to mess with a perfectly good piece of spam ?

I think I'll rename mine "Hawaiian stew", Since spam is their "state meat". I used to call it hurricane stew ( I rename it every few years to surprise the wife)
Ingredients:
Spam in fingertip size chunks (unless you have fat fingers)
Tomato sauce ( none of that Italian spice [censored] )
Too much onion powder
Too much garlic powder
Add water and boil 1 hour + ( takes a while for that spam to give up and taste like something else)
Add cut up potatoes and bring to a boil for about 15 - 20 minutes depending on your tater chunk size. ( number of potatoes is variable according to how many people you've got)

I make something simular but different. Fry chunked spam and diced onion in a pan of bacon drippings same amount of onion and garlic with cayenne hot sauce
and a splash of woo sauce. fry it down good add a good squirt of catchup cook a lil more dump it in a rice pot and fix rice in there too. Spam is salty so don't add none. Stir it up hot the button on the rice pot ahve a few beers then stir and flyuf when the pot dings. Spambalaya

Well, the onion and garlic are simular.

neva was a tv diner kinda guy. Give me a rice pot and a few minutes by the time I take a shower supper is done grab a pot holder and a spoon eat what ya want straight from the pot got some left put lid on pot pot in fridge do it again the next day

I've eaten enough of them for both of us!
I've even found some curry TV dinners at the HEB, yum...yum!
Now if I could just figure where to mount the microwave on the boat.

I do have a fondness of good pot pies though does that count??

Cappy is never out of recipes it just takes a bit to post them. I like to post the recipe and how to and cooking process and stuff and its kinda a big production so I dont do one often.

Cooked these yesterday. Gonna figure something to do with the leftovers.
