I'm sure many of us have our own versions of the basic hamburger.

I generally take 1 and 1/2 pounds of 85/15 ground beef and mix in a half of a finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lea and perrins Worcestershire sauce.

Separate them into about 6 oz. patties and place them in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Then grill them. No measuring the seasonings, just eye-balling it.

What's your recipe?

On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Be sure to put a thumb dimple in the center of the patty for even cooking.

i was trying to find uses for some wild hog (sow) that I had in the freezer so I experimented by mixing 50/50 ground beef and ground pork. Best dang tasting meat patty I've ever had. I used the same spices that I always used with just beef.
The wife has started using just pork when I'm not involved but I prefer the beef/pork mixture.
