Our first event of the year will be on Martin Creek Lake, just south of Marshall Texas, on January 23rd. Martin Creek is a power-plant lake with a 14 inch minimum on bass, and requires a Texas fishing license (daily or annual). Fees are $3/person for entry, plus $1/boat for a special event fee (fishing tournament) which must be paid at entry (envelope at gate). Please be sure to clean ALL of the Salvinia off your boat and trailer, prior to launching...they are checking everyone and writing tickets. Registration will be from 6:00am - 6:45am, with weigh-in scheduled for 3:00pm. Hope to see everyone there!

I've had several emails and calls asking about getting a Texas license online, here's the link: http://tpwd.texas.gov/business/licenses/online_sales/There's a $5 admin fee for buying online. If you don't want to pay it, there's a Walmart in Marshall off Highway 43. Costs: Non-resident freshwater annual = $58+fee (valid until Aug. 31, 2016) Non-resident all water daily = $16+fee (valid on day specified, only) 65 and over, who possess a LA resident fishing license, are not required to purchase a TX license. Also, non-resident under 17 years of age are not required to purchase a TX license.
