Labor day was good on the calcasieu. I was getting ready to leave the river due to traffic when I decided to pull up in a bay for one last cast. The bass were schooling and feeding on shad hard. I mean they were coming out of the water chasing the shad. I tied on a pop R and had a blast. Nearly every cast was a fish. Two of them were nearly 2 pounds. What a day, glad I went for that one last cast.

later...don
