With this hot summer time pattern going into effect now and the lakes slowing down, now is the time to hit the river. Monday through Friday on the hottest summer days used to be really good fishing the storm sewers, bridge pilings, bayou, creek and canal entries, etc. That cool water coming out of the Ozark Mountains keeps the fish biting with the exception of the week end pleasure boater traffic shutting it down on the weekends. I had some really good experiences this time of year fishing in and around Monroe........
