Good moring folks...I would like to introduce myself...
I am the armadilla. I am a long time member of the TFF, and a long time Texas resident. I also have my own web site called Whitney Lake Online where I provide lake reports based upon my fishing trips there or to Lake Aquilla (my backup lake). But, I am a Louisiana native and raised in Monroe. A Neville and NLU graduate. Retired now.
I grew up in Monroe. My favorite fishing holes were Bayou DeSiard, Black Bayou, Horseshoe Lake, Paces Lake, and Bussy Brake. I have been bass fishing since I was a teenager, but helped my Dad catch and clean many bream and white perch.
Anyway, I have interest in reading about Louisiana bass fishing. I am also looking forward to keeping up with the Off Topic section.

I wish I had a 10+. That's what I want before I quit fishing. I have a 9 1/2 and The Boss has an 8. ![[Linked Image]](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-H9df8_HM-y8/VVphn4JxAPI/AAAAAAAAHtY/LWmb956JhOk/s720/PICT0042.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0owVJYMlYvo/VVphs5cakGI/AAAAAAAAHtg/iM4D-Qrxo_s/s720/Sunday%25252012-16-07%252520Fish%252520003.jpg) Right after we were married, she paddled the boat and I bass fished in Black Bayou. Then she decide she wanted to fish. I loaned her a Zebco 33 and the first fish she caught as a 6 1/2. Can you imagine living with that on your back for nearly 45 years. She actually had a 7 1/2 and the 8 before I ever caught one that large.

I had a 24+ pounder on Lewisville. I was fishing with some Japanese from work and they made sushi out of it before I got in to register it.

Glad to see you Armadilla and welcome aboard. I was raised in West Monroe, lived there and the surrounding area for the first 31 years of my life. I moved to Texas near Lake Fork in 1991 to turn pro at this game. I got married and had kids and that pretty much ended it. I've spent the last 15 to 20 years trying to get back into the bass tournament game. With kids it seems the harder I try to get there the further I get away from the reality of getting back in.......I fished Caney, D'arbonne, The Mighty Ouachita, Black Bayou Lake north of Monroe, D'arbonne Bayou, Cheniere Lake, Bistineau, Black Lake, Lake Claiborne, Corney Lake up near Junction City, and all waters attached to any of these bodies of water and yes I dearly miss the bayou state. Wish I could come back. I'm an industrial mechanic by trade and have spent enough time in college learning my craft to have a masters degree if I could accumulate all the time I've spent in Junior colleges and trade schools......
Live in Texas..... Born a Louisiana boy heart and soul..... Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I'm an industrial mechanic by trade and have spent enough time in college learning my craft to have a masters degree if I could accumulate all the time I've spent in Junior colleges and trade schools...... My dad was a welder and mechanic, I worked in his shop through high school and college... and if I had a Master Degree, I might be rich enough by now to move back... But, I am too old to move now anyway... just going to hunker down here and use blessing I have. I was never good enough at fishing to tournament fish... I quickly learned through some bass clubs that there were bunches of folks who were much better than me... But, we enjoy fishing for the pleasure of it... nothing better than that tap-tap on a worm or a killer strike on a top water. You never know what is going to be on the other end until you set the hook.
