At alberts pike in arkansas. We used to do a trout trip every January, haven't been probably 15 years. Looks like its gonna happen this year!

We used to go to Beavers Bend @ Broken Bow every year but it has been about that long since we fished it. They stock rainbow and browns. The river they stock them in is fed by Broken Bow Lake and when I was on it last with a bass boat it was down quiet a bit and I was still finding water 350+ feet deep and most places over 100 feet right off the shore. They release water into the river from deep with in the lake and this keeps the river cool enough for the trout to survive year round and some of them get huge, I think the record for a trout; can't remember if it was a brown or rainbow, is 7.5 pounds. Fishing is cheap to, I think it cost us $7.50 for a license/stamp. It's also just a stones throw from northwest Louisiana, an easy trip to make....

We go to BB about 3 times and year and fly fish the Lower Mountain Fork river. If you do go, I would suggest going during the week as it gets beat to hell on the weekends.

we also like to go too Lower Mountain Fork river, little mo., little red and the White river two or three time a year. Broken Bow is only 2 hour for us.
