This replaces the one that broke off when that big X-press crank was pulled so hard after being hung up in Cross Bayou it popped loose to whack the rod at maybe 40mph in a freak way...a one in a thousand thing.

They are high end so 5 will be it for 2011 unless they have a super duper sale again.

Now have a pair of matched 7 ft heavies for jigs (custom made),
a MH for lighter mud ticklers from a factory barely used 2 day sale
and a pair of 6-3 mediums for cranking (custom made).

I prefer 6-3 for cranking due to the trees and piers we fish where accuracy is more important than distance w/o the length interfering..which it can in a power style.
-----
Ask Terrell J and Buster M how they like their Kistler Heliums and Beau Barfoot about his new Kistler magnesium 6-9 MH.

Wow, Gotta love the equipment there. I would kill to own one of those dryers.

Nice Rods. Trey Kistler and the rest does a heck of job marketing and making rods.

Kistler makes a fine rod I have a bunch of the micros. Had a retired marine major out he had G.Loomis rods after using one of my Z-Bones he decided to make a change. Last time I saw him he had 4 of them.

I recently picked up a Z-Bone. It's been a nice rod so far. The sensitivity is crazy. My 1st day using it, my bait bumped into a tree limb while swimming it and the impact felt like a crash.

I own Kistlers and lived 2 miles from their shop for many years. With that being said, I'd like to suggest checking out https://impulserods.com/ Lance likely built your Kistler, but went into business for himself and I own a lot more Impulse rods than Kistlers these days. Best rods I've ever used!!!!
