“We understand the team we just played two games ago really took it to us, and we’ve got to figure out a way to not allow that happen again,” Romo said.
“Because football at the end of the day is still hitting, tackling and being physical. I think we weren’t our best versions of ourselves throwing, catching this last time, and I think our football team just feels anxious to get out there and do better than what we did. We’re just ready for that.
“We did not play our best football. The Eagles had a lot to do with that. We beat ourselves in certain things that were a little bit abnormal for us. We did some things that weren’t the norm. I relish the opportunity to go out and get another opportunity.”
Much has been made about how Romo, who’s been playing with two transverse fractures in his back, had to play with just three days of rest in the first meeting but now plays with nine days of rest in the rematch.
Romo said he does expect the extra rest to make a significant difference.
