Hi guys. I'm an escapee from the TFF, at least for awhile, and I'm trying to find out some info on bream fishing at Barksdale AFB. My daughter and son-in-law are stationed there and I'm working to get them interested in fishing. So far we've only been able to find small bream. Anyone know of a good spot that might hold larger, eatable, bream? Any good crappie areas reachable from the bank? I only get there occasionally so scouting different areas is tough.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Get you a bucket of crickets and go out to Flag Lake in about a month. If you can get a boat, go out to the edge of the open water against the trees. You can smell the bream when they get bedded up. Use a cane pole when you smell them start dipping the cricket in the water till you find them. When you find them you can fill an ice chest. It's a lot of fun. Flag Lake is also a good bass and crappie lake. I'm jealous. I loved fishing there when I was stationed there.
