Kinda bringing this one back to life. I have heard that if you can catch a cruising carp on a fly, you can catch a bone fish as well. Thoughts?????

I didn't know until a couple of years ago that carp aren't full time bottom feeders. We hit the May/June catfish run here on Cooper in the shallows with trotlines and when we are baiting carp are breaking the surface feeding on surface dwelling creatures of some sort. Lots of times they will leap completely out of the water. I figure it has to be some sort of insect they are feeding on....

Have seen that as well while tournament fishing. When they are like that they are super spooky, I bet if you can land a fly softly in front of them, then the fight would be on.
